LEPZI Quanti BNP Test
LEPZI Quanti BNP Test is fluorescence immunoassay for the quantitative determination of B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) in EDTA anticoagulated whole blood or plasma samples. BNP is the "golden standard" for the diagnosis of heart failure.
(1) Abstract
Stimulated ventricular myocytes secrete BNP When ventricular volume dilates and pressure increases. Elevated blood BNP concentration can inhibit the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, inhibit sympathetic nerve activity, reduce water and sodium retention and diastolic blood vessels, and have a protective effect on the heart. Therefore, abnormal changes in blood BNP levels can reflect the changes in heart function.
(2) Clinical application
The "Golden Standard" for diagnosis of Heart Failure
Early detection of heart failure in patients
Risk stratification for heart failure
Distinguish between heart failure and other causes of dyspnea
Treatment monitoring and prognosis assessment of heart failure
Assists in ACS risk stratification
